Project and Heavy Lift Liner Services to Caspian Sea
Since 2005, 2K has deployed its business activities specializing in liner services to Caspian, and provides the entire spectrum of freight shipments in this region. Throughout 8 months out of the year (April - November) 2K has 2- 4 sailings per month between the ports of Marmara and Caspian Ports (Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Kazakhstan). Transportation by land or rail to internal destinations of Caspian and neighbor countries after the sea transportation is also within the scope of our multimodal transportation services.
Diverse Cargo Handling
Our forte lies in efficiently managing a wide spectrum of cargoes. From standard and unitized goods to oversized project components such as machinery and boats, we handle it all. Additionally, we expertly transport break-bulk items like steel and forest products, alongside bulk and containerized cargoes.
Our Fleet
The heart of our operation is our fleet of SEA-RIVER vessels, each boasting a 3000-5000 ton capacity. Their design focuses on market-specific requirements, featuring low superstructures and shallow drafts, perfect for navigating varied water depths.
Navigational Prowess via the Volga-Don
Our primary route traverses the Volga-Don Canal during its open season, streamlining travel from Marmara to the Caspian Sea. The journey entails navigating through 18 locks and is meticulously timed for optimal transit to key destinations.
Adapting to Seasonal Changes
Post-November, when canal navigation halts, we pivot to a blend of sea and rail transport. This rerouting through Georgian ports to Baku ensures our commitment to continuous service delivery to the Caspian region.
